Hi, my name’s Paul Rissen. After several failed attempts at writing a blog, and one recent attempt at hand-coding a website, I’ve decided to give this thing a proper go. The latterdayhub exists as a place for me to blog mindlessly about intricate details of my life, but when it’s being used properly, it should serve as a place for me to post articles I’ve written and act as a base for my comedy exploits.
The name ‘latterdayhub’ has a long and complicated etymology. Basically it started as a reference to the Fast Show on my original blog, then when I started again I added the ‘latter day’ to emphasise the reborn nature of the website, and the ‘hub’ refers to the modern day uses I described above.
In the real world, I’m carving out a career as an Information Architect/Data Analyst, specialising in broadcast media companies. For instance, and partly out of un-ashamed Doctor Who fandom, I do a lot of work with the Beeb. Although this pays the bills, and keeps my interest sated, I would hope that eventually my writing and comedy work will take off…
